The boy who has long appeared in Sangna Take's paintings with his signature detached expression sheds his fashionable attire, discarding the luxury labels of CHANEL and Balenciaga until only a pair of underwear and socks remain. Subtle erotic undertones in earlier works are rendered more directly this time. New figures—including fairies, anthropomorphic flowers, and animals—replace the Pokémon characters that frequently appeared in the past, each embodying distinct emotional projections and imaginative possibilities. Interwoven with the human figures, these floral and animal beings create a more fluid and dynamic spatial relationship within the composition.

“Whatever the color, I love it!”_Sangna Take
Influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sangna Take has slowed his pace in recent years, allowing everyday experience to enter his work more organically. He continues to explore material possibilities while preserving visible traces of his process through smearing, layering, and wiping, while embracing a more graffiti-informed visual language. The artist's use of color has become more vivid and muted, and his work has shifted from controlled compositions toward a more intuitive mode of expression. While earlier works emphasized character-based imagery, his recent practice foregrounds painting itself, with brushwork, color, material, and chance forming key elements of his visual language.
Many of the works presented in this exhibition originate from fleeting moments in everyday life. A Little Shy captures subtle intimacy between men through exchanged glances, while Hang Around playfully draws on the specific connotations of the word "dog" within gay culture, embracing a mischievous and deliberately irreverent sense of humor.

A Smiling Flower was inspired by an Instagram story where the artist casually added a facial expression to a flower using Instagram's built-in drawing tool before translating the visual quality of the digital drawing onto canvas.

More subdued glazes and textures echo the overall tone of the exhibition.
